Keeping ashes at home: the local attitude
When cremation covers around 71.2%[5] of deaths, as it does in Idaho, ashes stop being an awkward subject at the dinner table. That openness helps with a pet. Relatives are more likely to ask for a small share, and friends may already know a potter or an engraver. Where you can scatter or bury ashes in Idaho
Keeping a small share of the ashes in jewelry or a keepsake raises no legal questions at all. Rules matter only if you plan to post ashes, carry them abroad or leave them somewhere other people also use. For any travel, keep the crematory's certificate with the ashes. Here's what applies in Idaho.
